STT (CTT) @ Infineon 2005.12.14

make up date for May 8th rainout with Sportbike Track Time (now Calbike Track Time). All was looking good. Weather was not too bad. It was just too cold. I was passing a particularly annoying "intermediate" rider (the kind that guns it in the straights and then crawls through corners) in the carousel (turn 6) when I lost the front end at full speed. It was a classic racetrack fall. Bike slid from about the apex to way up into the embankment and i slid and did about 6 cartwheels before stopping a few feet underneath. Nothing broken on me, bike was almost rideable, lost the reservoir for the clutch tho so it had to be trucked home (thank you Kevin Smith!) and now i have matching ratty fairings on both sides of the bike (and the front fairing finally has to get replaced)

The cold track took its toll. I counted 15 crashes and there may have been more. There was one rider airlifted out but the word at the track was that he was conscious and could feel everything.
