Qualifying

During QP it was back to the corkscrew where I got a chance to shoot from the other side... At one point I was so close to the track I had to dump the long lens and switch to my wide angle zoom!

Nicky Hayden didn't crack the QP like in 2006 in fact the big surprise was that Chris Vermeulen took the top spot with Colin Edwards and Kenny Roberts Jr. sharing the front row. Behind them Dani Pedrosa and the other Suzuki of John Hopkins were ahead of Nicky Hayden. The consolation was, of course, that Valentino Rossi was a further 2 rows back in 10th spot.
