Paddock

The trips to the paddock this year were as good as last, lots of cool folks, cute grid girls, and of course access to the riders. Laguna Seca is unique in that the paddock allows real access to the teams because they have to cross the paddock to get from the garages to their motorhomes :)

I went to the paddock all three days, but the heat on sunday was out of control. Standing on the asphalt there waiting for Rossi to come out seemed insane. Still, I knew that at least my wife, a huge Rossi fan, would kill me if I returned from Laguna without a Valentino photo so I braved the hot tarmac which one mechanic said was around 150F (65C!). The air temperature was 108F (42C).
