Free Practice 3

These were taken at turn 11. Some from behind looking down the straight, the rest from the hill climbing next to the straight. Last year I got to shoot from inside the fence thanks to a cool security guard. This year I had no such luck and I shot through the fence and under a billboard. There were very few angles to shoot and cornerworkers and medical staff kept getting in the way. Finally an ambulance parked in my view so I moved to a location on the straight.

The cool thing about the rear angle photos are the heat disturbance in the air. And this was saturday morning. Nowhere near the heat we got on sunday during the race.

Nick Hayden was fastest but only just, with Kenny Roberts Junior continuing his amazing practice runs. Stoner was again the big surprise. The kid is fast!
